Blast Cleaning Abrasives
Archifine
Archifine
"Archifine" is a fine hard abrasive formulated for architectural cleaning and restoration. The angular grains produce a soft scraping action rather than a hammering action produced by the rounded grains of other media's.
Archifine contains no free silica, has a hardness of 6 Mohs and a ph of 9, it can be used dry or with water.
Archifine is particularly good at cleaning and removing paint from red brick, stone and timber but has many other uses for general blasting such as marine antifoul paint removal, vehicle depainting, rust removal.
It is generally used at low pressures through either a Microstrip or Blast-mate EXC machine which can operate with low media consumption making it extremely cost effective.
